So I asked myself: What do I want potential clients to know about me? Here is what I came up with:
I am passionate about books.
I love good books. I love to take a good book and make it better. I am a bit of a nerd in that way. I used to rewrite the endings of my favorite classics just to see if I could mimic the styles of famous writers.
No doubt you are passionate about your own writing project as well. I respect the time, effort and emotion that you have invested in your creation, and will work with you to make your manuscript the masterpiece you envision.
I have experience.
I have been writing since I could pick up a pencil. I have had articles published in magazines and newspapers. I have served as writing assistant to a couple of established authors and done a bit of ghostwriting. I have just completed my first novel.
I have been an editor for 20 years. My projects have included more than a dozen full-length manuscripts and countless articles.
At the request of one of my clients, I taught myself to perform ebook conversions, resulting in hundreds of successfully completed projects.
I have integrity.
Your complete satisfaction is guaranteed. My fees are generally a bit below market standard and I keep fair and accurate records of the time I spend on each project. I pay my taxes too, which may or may not mean anything to you, but it is an indicator that I am an honest professional.
